Organic Coconut Flour is coconut that has been defatted (squeezed of all its oils), then dried and ground into a fine powder. It is often used in baking as a gluten-free way of substituting wheat flour. Depending on the use, the conversion when used in place of wheat flour is typically 1:4 (coconut to wheat) and may require extra eggs when used for baking as it is naturally gluten-free.
