These quinoa flakes are grown at an altitude of 13,000 feet on family farms in Bolivia. They’re flattened instead of pre-cooked, so they cook quickly while retaining all their nutritional value.
Quinoa provides more protein than any other grain. Even better, it’s a complete protein source, meaning that it contains all nine essential amino acids (amino acids your body can’t produce on its own). Quinoa is also a good source of various vitamins and minerals including vitamins B1 (thiamine) and B9 (folate), manganese, phosphorus, copper, iron, magnesium, zinc, and potassium.
Quinoa flakes can be substituted for or mixed with oats in just about any recipe, whether as a protein-rich meat substitute or a crispy ingredient in baked goods. Try them in granola, cookies, crisps and crumbles, quinoa porridge, pancakes, and muffins. You can even use them in veggie burgers!
