SaberCut Saw
Ultimate Survival Technologies SaberCut saw is a unique
and functional tool that you'll find useful not just in survival situations but
also for routine use on the trail and around camp. The 24" blade is
bi-directional, self-clearing and can be sharpened using a standard chainsaw
type sharpening kit. The flexible blade is easy to use in tight spaces and will
cut through small to medium sized trees and logs surprisingly fast.
Features:
- Weight with sheath - 6 ounces
- Can be
resharpened
- Treated to resist rust and corrosion
- Self cleaning,
bi-directional teeth
- 24-inch flexible blade
The SaberCut saw is easy to use. Two web loop handles are
affixed to the saw with steel clips that keep the saw from twisting and align
the saw horizontally when cutting trees or other vertical objects. This
orientation creates a straight cut across the grain for maximum efficiency.
Although the 24" blade will handle substantial logs and trees, the saw folds up
small enough to fit in a shirt pocket. The SaberCut is a versatile tool. With
the addition of a rope lanyard the saw can be used (with caution) to cut
overhead limbs, can cut almost flush to the ground and will work
underwater.
In the backcountry, the SaberCut has many uses--improvising a
shelter, cutting firewood, maintaining trails, building a blind or clearing a
campsite among others. It's also useful for trimming trees around the house or
keeping you're your favorite fishing hole accessible. Smaller, lighter and safer
to use than an ax, the SaberCut Saw is an important addition to your outdoor
gear. A flexible, ballistic nylon sheath is included and holds the saw with a
little room left over. The saw weighs 4 ounces and the sheath two. The SaberCut
saw is used by hikers, campers, hunters, pilots, adventurers and US Navy Seal
teams.
